Viral Transport Medium Kit Principle
Viruses are composed of a nucleic acid molecule and protein or only protein, it’s small in size and simple in structure. Since there is no cellular structure, the virus itself cannot replicate, but instead invades the gene into the host cell and replicates the new virus with the help of the latter's replication system. After the virus sample is collected by Viral Sampling Swab, in order to maintain the activity of the virus sample release from Viral Sampling Swab and prolong the survival time of the virus in the sample, the Viral Sampling Swab sample will be stored and transported in the Viral Transport Medium.
Composition and Inspection Principle of Viral Transport Medium Kit (Virus preservation solution):
Main components of the Viral Transport Medium
|
Inactivated Viral Transport Medium Kit
|
Phosphate, guanidine salt
|
Cultured Viral Transport Medium Kit
|
Phosphate, Tris, sodium chloride
|
-
For COVID-19, flu, swine flu, HFMD and other respiratory and enteric virus nasal and throat sample sampling and delivery. The collected samples can meet the requirements of various subsequent experiments.
-
The combination usage of various antibiotics has antibacterial and antifungal effects.
-
As a protein stabilizer, bovine serum albumin (BSA) can form a protective film on the protein shell of the virus, making it difficult to decompose and ensuring the integrity of the virus.
Viral Transport Medium Kit Feature
-
Flocked Nylon Fibers Structure - For optimum sample collection
Compared with the traditional fiber Viral Sampling Swab, flocking Viral Sampling Swab adopts unique spray type nylon pile implantation technology, the open fiber structure in Viral Sampling Swab has outstanding sample collection ability and allows for more efficient release of microorganisms collected in Viral Sampling Swab into Viral Transport Medium.
-
Antibiotics in the Viral Transport Medium can effectively prevent bacterial and fungal contamination.
-
BSA is added to the Viral Transport Medium, which can protect the virus samples and improve the sample separation rate.
